Marie is a founding Board member of The MIP Foundation and chair of the marketing committee. She has helped craft every detail of the MIP brand and identity since its inception in addition to being involved in fundraising, marketing and program development.

She holds a BA from Haverford College and started off her career in the nonprofit sector.    She worked for several years as a publication coordinator and designer for the New England Literacy Resource Center, a division of World Education in Boston. After getting her design degree from Massachusetts College of Art, she went on to become a senior designer at Selbert Perkins Design, an international design firm in Boston specializing in branding, signage/wayfinding, public art and environmental graphics.

Marie is currently a freelance graphic designer and lives in Wyndmoor, PA with her husband and 10-year-old twins who keep her on her toes. Her interests include gardening, traveling with her family, running, yoga, and tennis.

“I have known Melissa since she founded a toy borrowing business called the Toybrary, in 2012. It was around the corner from where I live and where I spent many hours with my young kids, at the time, as they made music, created art, played, made friends and created long-lasting memories.

I witnessed Melissa’s world change from one day to the next when her son Colin got his cancer diagnosis, and I followed his cancer journey and her family’s journey. My work with MIP is my continued desire to help out in some capacity - using whatever skills I may have to help spread the word about the incredible work that Melissa and MIP has been able to do in such a short amount of time. It’s been an incredible privilege to be a part of this organization and to watch it grow from an idea to action and to see the true impact MIP is making in the lives of adolescents and young adults who are fighting cancer.”
